How to use

  1. Drop a DWG or DXF in — it renders a preview right in your browser. Opening a DWG loads the self-hosted CAD engine (~10 MB) once.
  2. Pick the output: PDF, SVG or AI keep the drawing as crisp, scalable vector line-work; PNG or JPG rasterise it at the pixel width you choose, with or without a white background.
  3. Press Convert and download the file. The AI output is a PDF-compatible Illustrator file — it opens in Adobe Illustrator with every object editable.

FAQ

Is my drawing uploaded anywhere?

No. The DWG or DXF is parsed and rendered entirely in your browser — nothing is sent to a server, which matters for confidential plans. DWG reading uses the open-source LibreDWG engine compiled to WebAssembly, self-hosted here and loaded only when needed.

What exactly is the AI output?

A PDF-compatible Adobe Illustrator file. Modern .ai files are built on PDF, and Illustrator opens PDF vector content natively — so the drawing arrives as editable vector paths. It isn’t a native Illustrator project file with private Adobe data, but for editing your drawing in Illustrator it works the same way.

Which entities are converted?

The 2D drawing content: lines, polylines with arc segments, circles, arcs, ellipses, splines, hatches (as boundaries), text, points, solids and block references — with layer colours resolved. Paper-space layouts, line weights/types and 3D solids aren’t reproduced; dimensions render from their pre-drawn geometry.
